ESCAPE INTO THE NIGHT

We are Desirée and Erwin of the glamelectro duo Pocket Knife Army, and we are the founders of Midnight Masquerade. Some time ago, we realized that the nightlife could use a bit of a shake-up. That's why with this night festival, we aim to blur the boundaries between an art festival, a concert, a masquerade ball, and a club night. Everything side by side, with each other, and intertwined. That's what Midnight Masquerade is.

"Why the masks?" you might be wondering. In addition to bringing different art forms together, we also find self-expression very important. With a mask on and an extravagant outfit, you can be whoever you want to be without adhering to society's imposed rules. We experience this ourselves when we step onto the stage and put on our stage outfits. It feels like putting on an alter ego, sometimes bolder, more daring, and more confident than your everyday self. That feeling is so enjoyable that we want to share it with you.
